Our annual Yogathon is back. For the last 9 years, our yogi community has pulled together to make this a highlight of the Yoga on the Edge calendar.

If you’ve never experienced one of our Yogathons, join us in making this year the best one yet!

What it is

On May 11th, we’ll be challenging our yogis to 12 hours of back-to-back yoga. From 7am to 7pm, our teachers run a varied timetable of classes. It’s a fun, relaxed atmosphere where you can join in as many classes as you like!

Some people do one or two with their favourite teachers, some use the day to try something new. We have a group of hard-core yogis who have completed all 12 hours in previous years! If you can’t join the classes on the day, there’s also the option of simply donating to this worthy cause, and then popping along to the celebration drinks at the end of the day.

What’s it all for

All the classes are donation-based, with all the money going in support of cancer charities. To date, we’ve already raised over £45 000, and this year we hope that number is going to go through the roof – help us hit our target of £50 000!

Cancer charities such as The Christie Charity, offer treatment and support for cancer patients, their family and friends. Each donation we receive, whether you’re joining for one class or many, goes towards supporting The Christie and their incredible work. Our Yogathons allow us to give back to these charities – whose vital work is close to the heart for so many of us. Sadly we all know someone whose life has been touched by cancer. Studio director Clare said,

Rarely do you meet someone who hasn’t been affected by a cancer diagnosis. Both my mum and dad died from cancer, my aunt was diagnosed, and just recently I’ve lost a good friend to this disease. It’s why we continue to raise money for cancer charities.

Join us at the Yogathon 2024 as we raise awareness, funds, (and a glass!) to an amazing cancer charity!

Get ready

The Just Giving page is open for donations to the Yogathon, and we are of course welcoming donations for this wonderful cause. To register your interest for the Yogathon, please message info@yogaontheedge.co.uk or drop in to the studio. We are asking for donations of £25 for access to the full day of yoga classes with our incredible teachers.

We are so grateful to all those who have got involved over the years – the donations, the teachers who give up their time, the people organising behind the scenes. Whether you donate, join a class (or 12), share a social media post to help spread the word. ‘Compassion without action is observation’ and every little action plays a big part in what we do, so thank you!
