Vinyasa

Vinyasa Flow is about freedom of movement and expression. This style of practice allows instructors unlimited freedom of expression, so no two classes or two teachers are ever the same.

This practice is truly a moving meditation – where you use your breath to truly explore your own body, leaving the constraints of your mind and the outside world at the door. Physically, this is a dynamic practice which works on building strength, mobility and flexibility. The pace of this class will allow you to focus your mind, becoming truly present with your breath and your body as you create your own space to just ‘be’.

SUITABILITY

Class is suitable for all levels of ability, modifications are offered.

Ashtanga

Ashtanga-Vinyasa is a highly structured flow-style class, based around the Ashtanga Primary Series as created by Sri Pattabi Jois.

It is a strong practice which incorporates a range of standing and seated asanas, aimed to help develop flexibility, strength and core stability.

The flowing style of this class allows the instructor a freedom of interpretation within the Ashtanga method. Both Clare and Calum who teach this style of practice, study and guide under the Tristana method.

Ashtanga Full Primary Series is a set sequence of postures developed so that each pose prepares the body for the next, as the level of intensity increases. We teach Ashtanga Full Primary Series on Fridays – 12pm, and Sundays – 4pm.

SUITABILITY

This class is a challenging class, however, beginners are welcome as variations are given to suit all levels.

If Ashtanga is a practice that is new to you, we recommend attending a few Ashtanga-Vinyasa classes before following into a full Ashtanga class.

Dharma

Dharma Yoga is a modern interpretation of classical Eight-limbed or Hatha-Raja Yoga, deeply rooted in ethical precepts that includes elements of flowing Vinyasa, inversions and held poses that will help you to discover concentration, meditation, abiding contentedness and deep healing relaxation.
Dharma Yoga was created by Sri Dharma Mittra in 1975. The physical posture practice (Asana) tones and invigorates the body and mind, leading to enhanced flexibility, strength, balance and concentration.

Breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditative techniques regulate the heartbeat, de-stress the nervous system and calm the mind. Guided deep healing relaxation or Yoga Nidra relieves stress, slows down the thoughts, calms the mind and recharges one’s physical body. A complete practice that will lead to radiant health, a peaceful life and, eventually self-realisation. Dharma Yoga is traditional, yet contemporary — perfect for the fast-paced world of today.

Hatha

The term Hatha comes from the Sanskrit word ‘ha’, meaning ‘sun’, and ‘tha’, meaning ‘moon’. Hatha practice is about uniting these dual energies; dark & light, active & passive, masculine & feminine – in order to find balance.

Through breath and movement you will work into longer holds in asanas, unifying the breath and mind to a point of equilibrium. In Hatha, we ground ourselves so that we gain a true sense of who and where we are, freeing ourselves to experience the world from a place of honesty and authenticity.

Slow Flow

A Slow Flow class provides the space for you to find your breath and learn what it means to move mindfully. This slow, deliberate practice will build a stronger body whilst enabling you a new-found freedom as you learn to flow with grace. Slower than a Vinyasa and with more flow than Hatha, this really is the ‘Goldilocks’ of classes; deliciously deep stretches linked through fluid flow, bringing about balance in both body and mind.

This is a great practice for beginners, as your instructor will guide you though the fundamentals of yoga. It is also suitable for those with an established practice who want to slow down and concentrate on how to use your breath to anchor and ground your body, channelling your energy to bring you into the present.

This deeply nourishing practice will leave you feeling stronger, calmer and content.

Restorative

This gentle practice creates and holds the space for you to breathe deeply and relax.

These classes work on longer holds in postures, in order to lengthen muscles and encourage deep release through connective tissues – breathing length and release into tired and tight limbs.

The meditative element of this class invites you to a place of self-acceptance, working with your breath to increase flexibility and slow down mentally. In this space you will experience deep muscular release and explore new pathways to connection. Many people find the space to heal in these sessions – physically and mentally – whilst working on the practice of remaining present in a truly mindful practice.

Mandala

These dynamic, breath-led practices explore circular movement and energetic flow inspired by the elements—earth, water, fire, and air.

Mandala Vinyasa is a fluid 360-degree practice that guides you around the mat in creative sequences, linking breath with movement to promote strength, flexibility, and inner balance. Rooted in traditional Vinyasa and inspired by mandala patterns, each class explores a specific element or chakra to create a rhythmic, meditative experience.

Mandala offers a gentler approach to the same principles, with a slower pace and more grounding transitions. Both styles symbolise wholeness and transformation, inviting deep connection with body, breath, and energy.
