DYNAMIC

Vinyasa

Vinyasa Flow is about freedom of movement and expression. This style of practice allows instructors unlimited freedom of expression, so no two classes or two teachers are ever the same.

This practice is truly a moving meditation – where you use your breath to truly explore your own body, leaving the constraints of your mind and the outside world at the door. Physically, this is a dynamic practice which works on building strength, mobility and flexibility. The pace of this class will allow you to focus your mind, becoming truly present with your breath and your body as you create your own space to just ‘be’.

SUITABILITY

Class is suitable for all levels of ability, modifications are offered.

DYNAMIC

Ashtanga Vinyasa

Ashtanga-Vinyasa is a highly structured flow-style class, based around the Ashtanga Primary Series as created by Sri Pattabi Jois.

It is a strong practice which incorporates a range of standing and seated asanas, aimed to help develop flexibility, strength and core stability.

The flowing style of this class allows the instructor a freedom of interpretation within the Ashtanga method. Both Clare and Calum who teach this style of practice, study and guide under the Tristana method.

Ashtanga Full Primary Series is a set sequence of postures developed so that each pose prepares the body for the next, as the level of intensity increases. We teach Ashtanga Full Primary Series on Fridays – 12pm, and Sundays – 4pm.

SUITABILITY

This class is a challenging class, however, beginners are welcome as variations are given to suit all levels.

If Ashtanga is a practice that is new to you, we recommend attending a few Ashtanga-Vinyasa classes before following into a full Ashtanga class.

DYNAMIC

Power

Working with dynamic asana, a Power class is a total body work out, that will help you strengthen, tone and sculpt.

MODERATE

Tantric Vinyasa Flow

Tantra is the act of consciously choosing your experience, no longer running on auto-pilot.

Tantra is the bravery of your fullest expression. Of all your facets. From quiet & shy to bold & fiery.

Tantra teaches us how to experience the divine within our beautiful, ordinary every everyday miracles.

This class embodies the principles of Tantra, expertly blended into a Vinyasa flow for a truly euphoric and energising class.

MODERATE

Hatha

The term Hatha comes from the Sanskrit word ‘ha’, meaning ‘sun’, and ‘tha’, meaning ‘moon’. Hatha practice is about uniting these dual energies; dark & light, active & passive, masculine & feminine – in order to find balance.

Through breath and movement you will work into longer holds in asanas, unifying the breath and mind to a point of equilibrium. In Hatha, we ground ourselves so that we gain a true sense of who and where we are, freeing ourselves to experience the world from a place of honesty and authenticity.

MODERATE

Slow Flow

A Slow Flow class provides the space for you to find your breath and learn what it means to move mindfully. This slow, deliberate practice will build a stronger body whilst enabling you a new-found freedom as you learn to flow with grace. Slower than a Vinyasa and with more flow than Hatha, this really is the ‘Goldilocks’ of classes; deliciously deep stretches linked through fluid flow, bringing about balance in both body and mind.

This is a great practice for beginners, as your instructor will guide you though the fundamentals of yoga. It is also suitable for those with an established practice who want to slow down and concentrate on how to use your breath to anchor and ground your body, channelling your energy to bring you into the present.

This deeply nourishing practice will leave you feeling stronger, calmer and content.

MODERATE

Restorative

This gentle practice creates and holds the space for you to breathe deeply and relax.

These classes work on longer holds in postures, in order to lengthen muscles and encourage deep release through connective tissues – breathing length and release into tired and tight limbs.

The meditative element of this class invites you to a place of self-acceptance, working with your breath to increase flexibility and slow down mentally. In this space you will experience deep muscular release and explore new pathways to connection. Many people find the space to heal in these sessions – physically and mentally – whilst working on the practice of remaining present in a truly mindful practice.

RELAXED

Yin

Yin Yoga offers a gateway to tranquillity through passive movement and long holds in postures.

This predominantly floor-based practice works on the ancient theory of meridian lines to provide a slow, deep release of fascia and ligaments. Increased mobility is achieved through encouragement of fluid to the joints.

If you feel particularly sore or tired, this class will help you find the space to relax, melt into your mat and let your worries slip away.

This class is suitable for all levels of ability. Personal props are highly recommended.
