Yogathon 2025 – Celebrating 10 Years of Movement, Community & Giving Back

Our 10th Annual Yogathon was an incredible day of connection, compassion and collective strength. Held on Saturday 10th May, this year’s event brought together yogis of all ages and abilities for 12 hours of back-to-back yoga, raising money for a cause close to our hearts – The Christie.
We’re thrilled to share that we raised £9,185 (plus Gift Aid) this year alone – taking our total to over £60,000 raised for cancer charities over the past decade!

A Decade of Impact
Since we began, the Yogathon has supported:
£55,030 for The Christie
£7,000 for Maggie’s, Teenage Cancer Trust, and East Cheshire Hospice
Every pose, breath, raffle ticket and donation has helped make a real difference to those affected by cancer. Thank you to everyone who joined in – whether you flowed through one class or all twelve, cheered from the sidelines, donated, or celebrated with us at the end. Your support means everything.
What is the Yogathon?
It’s a joyful, welcoming day of yoga, open to all. With a wide range of classes throughout the day, you’re invited to take part in as much or as little as you like. You don’t need to be a seasoned yogi – just bring your heart (and maybe a mat), and be part of something special.
Together, we move. Together, we give. Together, we make a difference.
Ready to be part of it next year?
Save the date 16th May 2026!
Looking Ahead: Be Our 2026 Sponsor
We’re currently looking for a local business sponsor for next year’s Yogathon. With increasing demand for Corporate Social Responsibility, this is a fantastic opportunity to support a much-loved community event with a powerful purpose.

Vinyasa Flow is about freedom of movement and expression. The style of this practice allows instructors unlimited freedom to express the practice, so no two classes or two teachers are ever the same.
This gentle practice creates and holds the space for you to breathe deeply and relax. Rooted in the principles of Yin you will focus on releasing deep into your connective tissues, breathing length and release into tired and tight limbs.
Dharma Yoga is a modern interpretation of classical Eight-limbed or Hatha-Raja Yoga, deeply rooted in ethical precepts that includes elements of flowing Vinyasa, inversions and held poses that will help you to discover concentration, meditation, abiding contentedness and deep healing relaxation
This class provides the space for you to find your breath and learn what it means to move mindfully. This slow, deliberate practice will build a stronger body whilst enabling you a new found freedom as you learn to flow with grace. Slower than a Vinyasa and with more flow than Hatha, this really is the goldilocks of classes: Deliciously deep stretches linked through fluid flow bringing you equilibrium in both body and mind
Yoga Blend mixes varying practices into one class This Yoga practice blends elements of Tai Chi with a core strength element and traditional yoga asana therefore bringing the body into a state of balance.
Bringing you the best of both worlds this dualistic style of practice works to bring your body and mind into equilibrium. Starting from a more dynamic Yang practice you will be guided through an energising and uplifting flow, before closing practice with some Yin poses for balance and harmony.
Vinyasa Flow is about freedom of movement and expression. The style of this practice allows instructors unlimited freedom to express the practice so no two classes or two teachers are ever the same. This practice is truly a moving meditation, where you use your breath to truly explore your own body, leaving the constraints of your mind and the outside world at the door.
The term Hatha comes from the Sanskrit ha, meaning “sun,” and tha, meaning “moon,”. Hatha practice is about uniting these energies; dark & light, active & passive, masculine & feminine, in order to find balance.
Rocket Yoga is devised by Larry Shultz and is also known as “The Rocket,” is a dynamic and energising style of yoga combining traditional Ashtanga yoga with elements of creative vinyasa flow.
This gentle practice creates and holds the space for you to breathe deeply and relax. Rooted in the principles of Yin you will focus on releasing deep into your connective tissues, breathing length and release into tired and tight limbs. The meditative element of this class invites you to a place of self acceptance, working with your breath to increase flexibility and slow down mentally

We are so grateful to all those who have got involved over the years – the donations, the teachers who give up their time, the people organising behind the scenes. Whether you donate, join a class, share a social media post to help spread the word. ‘Compassion without action is observation’ and every little action plays a big part in what we do, so thank you!
