We are excited to announce our 10th Annual Yogathon

raising money to support The Christie for all those affected by cancer.

So far we have raised over £52,000 in support of cancer charities.

Can we make it to £60,000 for our 10th year?

12 hours of back to back yoga, on Saturday May 10th, 7am – 7pm.

Whether you do 1, 2 or all 12 classes – donate & join for as many classes as you like!

Our Yogathon is a highlight of the year, where this wonderful, inclusive day brings our whole yoga community together – raising money for a cause close to the hearts of so many of us.

There’s a wide variety of classes and everyone can participate as much or as little as they would like to.

As always if you prefer to, just donate, support, and spread the word  however you can… Enter our raffle (with prizes donated by local businesses), or perhaps just enjoy a celebratory drink with us at the end! We are grateful for support at every level.

We are also looking for a corporate sponsor!

In the past we’ve been sponsored by Barclays, but this year we are hoping for a local business to sponsor our incredible event. With increasing demand for corporate social responsibility, this could be a great opportunity for large or small companies.

If you, or someone you know, have links to a business that may be interested, please contact Andy or Clare directly.

Dharma Yoga is a modern interpretation of classical Eight-limbed or Hatha-Raja Yoga, deeply rooted in ethical precepts that includes elements of flowing Vinyasa, inversions and held poses that will help you to discover concentration, meditation, abiding contentedness and deep healing relaxation

This class provides the space for you to find your breath and learn what it means to move mindfully. This slow, deliberate practice will build a stronger body whilst enabling you a new found freedom as you learn to flow with grace. Slower than a Vinyasa and with more flow than Hatha, this really is the goldilocks of classes: Deliciously deep stretches linked through fluid flow bringing you equilibrium in both body and mind

Yoga Blend mixes varying practices into one class This Yoga practice blends elements of Tai Chi with a core strength element and traditional yoga asana therefore bringing the body into a state of balance.

Bringing you the best of both worlds this dualistic style of practice works to bring your body and mind into equilibrium. Starting from a more dynamic Yang practice you will be guided through an energising and uplifting flow, before closing practice with some Yin poses for balance and harmony.

Vinyasa Flow is about freedom of movement and expression. The style of this practice allows instructors unlimited freedom to express the practice so no two classes or two teachers are ever the same. This practice is truly a moving meditation, where you use your breath to truly explore your own body, leaving the constraints of your mind and the outside world at the door.

The term Hatha comes from the Sanskrit ha, meaning “sun,” and tha, meaning “moon,”. Hatha practice is about uniting these energies; dark & light, active & passive, masculine & feminine, in order to find balance.

We are so grateful to all those who have got involved over the years – the donations, the teachers who give up their time, the people organising behind the scenes. Whether you donate, join a class, share a social media post to help spread the word. ‘Compassion without action is observation’ and every little action plays a big part in what we do, so thank you!
